Cunningham gas engine

This is an engine I bought this summer. It was built in the late 1940's. It was patterned after a model N Briggs and Stratton. There were some patent issues so they were not produced very long. I found this ad in a old farm magazine.

Coldwell Cub gas engine

This is an engine I bought this summer at a show. It was originaly used on a reel type lawn mower. The little cast iron bear on the oil fill cap is original and is a rare find.

New Engines

Here are two engines I just bought. The first one is a 1933 McCormick Deering M 1 1/2 h.p. This engine was built the last year they made these engines. It has the new style diaphram fuel pump and was originally painted red. It was completely rebuild and it runs good. The second engine is a 1927 Fairbanks Morse Z 2 h.p. It has a type R magneto it looks to be in very good condition also. I bought these locally at an estate auction.

Bolens Garden Tractor

This is the first engine I aquired. My grandpa bought it for me when I was 11 years old. The first picture was taken right after we got it running. The second picture is me farming. I ran this tractor for hours in grandpa's garden. I got a cultivator with it, and I also put a blade on it and pushed snow. A few years later grandpa built a riding sulky for it and I rode it for several years. I want to restore it some day.

Doyle hedge trimmer

This is a Doyle hedge trimmer I bought last fall. I don't have it running yet but it shouldn't take much to make it work. It has a 2 cycle engine and a flexible shaft drive. I think the hubcaps are really neat. I am looking for more info on the Doyle engines and what machines they were used on.

The Quick Lift Maytag powered mower

This is a Quick Lift weed mower from my collection. It has a modified Maytag 92. There are not many of these around. It has been restored but I am not brave enough to try to start it. I have a couple pictures of the original patent drawings. Any more info would be appreciated.
